The purpose of life is to discover your gift. The work of life is to develop it. The meaning of life is to give your gift away.
— David Viscott

“Singing with Deonté is like finding yourself.”

— Renee V. Freeman, Singer/Actress

My private studio is a place where every identity is affirmed and artists are given agency to explore and discover their voices in a space where they can feel brave enough to challenge their fears, beliefs, and artistry.

I believe the very best of who you are is already inside you! In my practice, we discover what it means to release it. As a One Voice Certified Coach, I teach techniques that I have found to be successful and essential in unlocking strength, control, sustainability, versatility, and range. More than anything, singers that work with me walk away with the confidence they need to face the stage and step up to the mic and OWN it!

Hard work, dedication, and a great attitude (You provide!) never fail when they are coupled with exceptional guidance and a firm foundation in technique (I provide!). That is what I promise every singer working with me! I teach lessons in person and via zoom. For lesson information and pricing, click here or the button below.

At The Voice Lab, I specialize in training gender diverse clientele, including feminization and masculinization of the voice. While I only serve as a fill-in when available due to my full-time commitments, I love my time with The Voice Lab and remain committed to their mission.

“Voice lessons can be a healing and empowering process when you let go of your inhibitions to uncover your truest and freest voice. At The Voice Lab, we combine pedagogical and scientific knowledge of voice with personal care and relationship to each of our clients so that you can truly love your voice!”-www.thevoicelabinc.com

Official Tedx Talk

TEDxYouth2020 Save the Date 7.28.20.jpg

In his talk Deonté will explore the merits of socialization. Specifically, he will use his own story to explore when it's beneficial to forget some of what we learn in order to discover our true identity (what makes us unique and special). Not only to celebrate what makes us unique, but also to be willing to share that with the world!
